Symbolic Object: Brother Jack's Fake eye

Quote: "His left eye had collapsed, a line of raw redness showing where the lid refused to close." (474)

The fake eye had revealed that Brother Jack was blind/ had distorted vision. Brother Jack is not able to see the full picture, he can only see the Brotherhood's goal which is why he is so one-sided and controlling of TIM, he has a one track mind. This relates back to why he was arguing with TIM in this chapter, he is mad at TIM for giving a passionate speech from his heart, it wasn't approved by Brotherhood.
